Day 01: Arrival in Delhi & Transfer to Shimla
Upon arrival in Delhi, you will be met by our representative for immediate assistance. Begin your scenic drive to Shimla, the historic summer capital of India during the British period. The road journey covers approximately 380 km, taking around 9 hours. On arrival in Shimla, check-in to your hotel. The remainder of the day is free for you to enjoy individual activities or leisure.
Day 02: Shimla: Kufri Excursion & Local Highlights
After breakfast, proceed for a full day of sightseeing in and around Shimla. Your main destination is Kufri, often regarded as one of India’s top holiday destinations, beautifully situated at an altitude of 2,622 meters. Kufri is a tourist hotspot known for its stunning scenic views and enjoyable sports activities. You can also visit attractions like Jakhoo Temple and Hanuman Temple.
In the evening, take time to explore Shimla’s famous shopping and social hub: “THE MALL & THE RIDGE.” This large open space provides excellent panoramic views of the surrounding mountain ranges and is home to iconic landmarks like the neo-Gothic Christ Church (built in the 1850s) and the neo-Tudor library building.
Day 03: Shimla to Manali Scenic Drive
Enjoy breakfast before checking out and departing for Manali. This approximately 10-hour, 280 km road journey includes captivating sightseeing stops en route, such as Sundernagar Lake and Pandoh Dam. You will also pass through Kullu, with a stop at the Vaishno Devi Temple. Upon arrival in Manali, check-in to your hotel.
Day 04: Manali Local Sightseeing
After breakfast, enjoy a day of local sightseeing around Manali:
Hadimba Temple: Visit this exquisitely crafted four-tiered pagoda roof temple, constructed in 1553.
Club House: A perfect outing spot offering comprehensive facilities, including a roller skating rink, auditorium, billiards rooms, bar, and restaurant.
Vashist Village: Known for its therapeutic hot Sulphur springs and ancient temples dedicated to Sage Vashisth and Lord Rama.
Other Attractions: Explore the Tibetan Monastery, Van Vihar, and the bustling Manali Mall Road. You will also visit Marhi, Rahalla Falls, and Nehru Kund (a cold water spring named after late PM Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru).
Overnight Stay: Hotel in Manali.
Day 05: Excursion to Rohtang Pass (Snow Point)
Today features an exciting excursion to Rohtang Pass, widely known as the Snow Point, where you can revel in the beauty of year-round snow-capped mountains. Tourists have the opportunity to enjoy various activities like Snow Scooter rides, Ski Rides, and mountain biking.
Note on Rohtang Pass: The Pass is typically closed from January to April due to heavy snow and glaciers, during which time tourist activities are concentrated in Solang Valley. Also, please note that Rohtang Pass is closed every Tuesday. Please be aware that sightseeing to Rohtang Pass is an optional excursion and may be subject to an extra charge payable directly by the guest.
Day 06: Manali to Dharamshala & Local Sightseeing
Following breakfast, travel by surface to McLeod Ganj (Dharamshala), magnificently set against the backdrop of the Dhauladhar mountains. Dharamshala is the revered seat of His Holiness, the Dalai Lama, the leader of the Tibetans, since 1960. The road journey covers approximately 240 km and takes about 7 hours. On arrival, check-in to your hotel. In the evening, enjoy a half-day city tour visiting Dal Lake, a local Church, Bhagsu Nag Temple, and the Tibetan Monastery.
Day 07: Dharamshala to Dalhousie & Leisure
Enjoy breakfast before checking out and leaving for Dalhousie. The road journey covers approximately 130 km, taking about 4 hours. Arrive and check in at your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure for you to pamper yourself and enjoy the tranquility of this small town, famous for its scenic beauty.
Day 08: Dalhousie Sightseeing & Khajjiar Tour
After breakfast, proceed for a full day of sightseeing, featuring a tour of Khajjiar. Experience the mesmerizing beauty of the vast emerald-green meadow of Khajjiar, surrounded by thick forested slopes of deodar trees. Take in the stupendous mountain views from Lakkar Mandi. Return back to the hotel in the evening.
Day 09: Dalhousie to Amritsar: Wagah Border & Local Sightseeing
Check out early in the morning and transfer by surface to Amritsar. The road journey covers approximately 220 km and takes about 6 hours. Upon arrival, you will be directly transferred to the Wagah Border for the famous evening ceremony. Later, visit two of the city’s most iconic sites: the Golden Temple and Jallianwala Bagh. The Golden Temple is the most important Sikh shrine, a living symbol of the spiritual and historical traditions of the Sikhs. Jallianwala Bagh is a poignant historical site commemorating the tragedy of April 13, 1919.
Day 10: Departure from Amritsar to Delhi
Enjoy the morning at leisure on your own. Delhi Drop, concluding your memorable Himalayan trip.
